‘ On the 29th of November, I went to the theatre, with my classmates and our English teacher, to see the performance ‘A Midsummer night’s dream’. It is a comedy written by William Shakespeare and is about the adventures of four young lovers and a group of ‘actors’.
The performance was in English and the actors were British. I went to the theatre thinking that it would be a little bit dull, but I absolutely changed my mind. The screenplay was simple but charming at the same time. What I liked most was the interpretation of the characters; they were collocated in a contemporary environment, so they resulted really involving, although the plot may seem far from reality because of fairies, spells and other magic elements.
My favourite character was Puck. He was an elf, the main character in the play. He saw everything and he was at the service of Oberon, king of fairies, but he was also a troublemaker. Moreover, the play was made exciting by the songs. As a matter of fact, the actors sang quite famous modern songs whose lyrics were adapted to the context.
In general , it was a lovely experience and I would like to see other plays like this.’

‘This comedy is set in Athens. There are a lot of characters: the Duke Theseus and his beloved Hippolyta; King Oberon and the Queen of fairies Titania, the beautiful Hermia who loves Lysander, Helena who is madly in love with Demetrius and the elf Puck. After a series of events, the comedy ends with the marriage of Hermia and Lysander, Helena and Demetrius, Hippolyta and Theseus.
I really enjoyed this musical because the actors were real professionals. The music and the songs were beautiful and very engaging. The part that I liked most was when the elf Puck mistook Helena and Demetrius with Hermia and Lysander and they began to argue. It was really great fun!

‘Through his spell, accidentally Puck made Lysander fall in love with Helena, but Puck wanted Demetrius to fall in love with Helena, so when he did it, Helena was incredulous that both Demetrius and Lysander loved her; she got angry thinking it was one of their jokes. At the end, Puck solves everything .
I think it was a beautiful play and I especially liked the character of Puck because he was energetic and funny . I also enjoyed when the actors sang because I knew the songs and I like them’.
